Cox Blue’s Get Started Orange County competition is organized to encourage entrepreneurs to pitch their start-ups. Judges included Timothy Howe, Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Investments for Cox Enterprises, Inc.; Peter Polydor, CEO and Founder of ERGO Capital and the startup accelerator Ergo Accel; Carolyn Stephens, Associate Director and Chief of Staff, UCI Applied Innovation, Kim Kovacs, Finance, Startup and Business Leader, and Don DiCostanzo, Co-Founder and CEO, Pedego Electric Bicycles.
Cox’s procedures must be followed to be considered for entry to this race and SmartBean® was one of over 50 local companies that qualified.
Today, we learned that Lisa Nguyen’s pitch on SmartBean®’s business won a spot as one of 5 finalists in the competition. The final presentations are set for May 23rd at The House of Blues in Anaheim. We are excited.
